Explosive start to science lectures!

The NULC Sixth Form Centre welcomed guest lecturer Dr Andrew Thomas, a physics research fellow at University of Manchester, to give his science lecture entitled ‘More Magic Than Harry Potter'.

The lecture was attended by A Level Chemistry and Physics students, as well as BTEC Applied Science students.  Dr Thomas showed students a range of spectacular experiments involving electromagnets, gunpowder, lasers, and lots more.

It was an inspiring start to the new academic year, and showed NULC students how exciting (and explosive) science can be!
