Former student returns to inspire next generation of designers

Former NULC student Maxine White returned to the College to inspire current AS and A Level Textiles students.

Maxine was a student at NULC 10 years ago, before progressing study Costume Interpretation in Wimbledon.  After graduating Maxine worked on many theatre productions creating a broad range of costumes for different characters.  After a near death car accident she set up a business with her sister 'Magic Mirror' making bespoke costumes.

Maxine spoke to each textile group about her work experience and shared her portfolio with the groups, bringing along several costumes for students to interact with including several corsets which the students had the opportunity to try on.
